Namibia Introduces New Visa Requirements for Certain Travellers

Latest Namibian VISA Requirements

Effective from 1 April 2025, Namibia has implemented updated visa regulations requiring travellers from specific countries to obtain a visa before arrival or upon entry.

This change, introduced by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, is aimed at streamlining border processes and improving visitor experiences by encouraging the use of Namibia’s official online eVisa system.

Who Needs a Visa?

Travellers from several countries that previously enjoyed visa-free entry to Namibia will now require a visa to enter. Affected visitors can either apply online in advance or opt for a visa on arrival at official entry points.

Implementation Date

These new requirements came into effect on 1 April 2025 and apply to all new arrivals from that date onward.

Apply Online to Save Time
